It is almost September and we are getting ready for another great year of sport and fitness here at Special Olympics NWT. Returning athletes and volunteers will be seeing an email shortly about the process for signing for this year. If you are new to Special Olympics NWT or coming back after an absence, please join us at our registration Thursday, September 17 between 5:30 and 6:30 pm at our office in the Nunasi Building (across from Boston Pizza).
This year, our regular programs will include bowling, speed skating, figure skating, swimming and rhythmic gymnastics. We hope to offer additional programs for snowshoeing, track and field and golf and a fitness program.
For those ages 3 – 11, we offer Active Start and FUNdamentals, great child and parent programs that help develop the all important basic sport skills through fun Saturday morning sessions.
